WILKES-BARRE, PA – A 21-year-old man from Plymouth is facing charges after police say he strangled and struck a woman during a domestic dispute on Wyoming Street Thursday morning.
Wilkes-Barre police said officers were dispatched around 10 a.m. on August 28, where they met with a 26-year-old woman who reported she had been in a verbal altercation with Gavin Manning, 21.
According to police, during the argument Manning allegedly placed his hands around the victim’s neck, restricting her breathing, and later punched her in the face with a closed fist.
Manning was located a short time later in the 200 block of North Washington Street, taken into custody, and transported to police headquarters for processing and arraignment.
