Teenagers flee as shots fired in Glen Burnie neighborhood

Gunfire erupts in Glen Burnie as home struck by bullets overnight

GLEN BURNIE, MD – Police are investigating after gunfire broke out late Thursday night in Glen Burnie, damaging a home but leaving no reported injuries.

Officers responded around 11:20 p.m. to the 400 block of Kenilworth Court after multiple witnesses reported hearing two gunshots. Several teenagers who were outside at the time ran for cover when the shots rang out.

Investigators determined that an unknown vehicle stopped near Elvaton Towne and Kenilworth Court. A male suspect exited the vehicle, fired two rounds, and then fled in the same car.

One of the projectiles struck a home on Kenilworth Court. Officers also recovered a shell casing in the roadway on Century Towne Road near the scene.
