Atlantic City, NJ – Local children received a boost ahead of the new school year as community leaders, officers, and volunteers came together for the 9th Annual Bookbag Giveaway.
The event, organized by Ms. Moore and Ms. Ingrum, provided free backpacks, school supplies, food, and snacks to families across the city. Chief James Sarkos, Detective J. Schwenger, ACPD neighborhood coordination officers, retired Officer Heidi Clayton, and Mayor Marty Small Sr. were on hand to support the effort.
Clayton, who also donated backpacks for the event, joined police and community members in distributing supplies, ensuring students start the school year prepared.
The giveaway continues to be a staple for Atlantic City families, combining resources from local leaders and residents to help children succeed in school.
