Man arrested after late-night stabbing in Dorchester leaves victim hospitalized

BOSTON, MA — A 22-year-old man is in custody following a stabbing late Wednesday night in Dorchester that sent one victim to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Boston Police.

Just after 11:15 p.m. on August 27, officers from District C-11 responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of 514 Geneva Avenue. At the scene, they found an adult male suffering from a stab wound and immediately provided medical aid before Boston EMS transported him to a nearby hospital.

Shortly after arriving, officers received a suspect description and located the individual nearby on Devon Street.

The suspect, identified as Erinson Diaz Soto of Dorchester, was arrested without incident. He has been charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, specifically a knife, and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
