NYPD seeks woman in unprovoked subway assault at Queensboro Plaza

Queens, NY – Police are searching for a woman who struck a man with a backpack in an unprovoked attack inside the Queensboro Plaza subway station earlier this month.

The incident occurred on Monday, August 18, around 4:45 p.m. when a 65-year-old man exited an elevator at the station. According to police, the suspect swung a backpack, hitting the victim in the neck. The man suffered a minor cut but refused medical attention at the scene.

The attacker fled on foot and has not been located. She is described as a woman with a dark complexion, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 145 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black jacket and green pants.
