Off-duty NYPD traffic agent arrested on DWI charges in Queens

Queens, NY – An off-duty NYPD traffic enforcement agent was arrested early Saturday morning after police say she was driving under the influence in the 104th Precinct.

Authorities identified the employee as Catherine Vinanzaca, 25, who was taken into custody at 3:08 a.m. on August 30. Police reported that she was stopped after allegedly running a red light.

Vinanzaca now faces several charges, including operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired by alcohol, and failing to obey a traffic control device.

The NYPD confirmed the arrest and said the case is under investigation.
