Fostoria man scores $50K prize on $10 Gem 10’s lottery ticket
FOSTORIA, OH — A Fostoria man is celebrating a major win after hitting a $50,000 prize on the Ohio Lottery’s Gem 10’s scratch-off ticket, officials confirmed.
The $10 ticket was purchased at Certified Oil #334, located at 100 E Lytle Street in Fostoria. After state and federal taxes, totaling 28 percent, the winner will take home $36,000.
Gem 10’s offers a top prize of $500,000 and remains a popular choice among Ohio Lottery players. As of August 29, two of the game’s top prizes are still unclaimed.
The Ohio Lottery continues to operate a wide range of instant win games with various prize levels. Proceeds from all ticket sales contribute to education funding in the state. Since its inception in 1974, the Lottery has generated more than $33 billion in support of Ohio public education.
