PARMA HEIGHTS, OH — A woman in Parma Heights struck it rich this week after purchasing a VIP Millions scratch-off ticket worth $1 million at a local beverage and deli store.

The winner, who has not been publicly identified, chose the cash option for her prize, receiving $500,000 before taxes. After state and federal withholdings, she will take home approximately $360,000.

She bought the $50 VIP Millions ticket at Parma Heights Beverage and Deli, located at 6660 Pearl Road. The game, which offers a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years, still has 29 top prizes remaining as of August 29, according to the Ohio Lottery.
