West Nyack man arrested in Clarkstown restaurant burglary

Nanuet, NY – A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at a Rockland Plaza restaurant, Clarkstown Police announced.

Officers responded to the restaurant at 121 Rockland Plaza on August 20 after employees reported that a cash register had been forced open and money taken. Surveillance footage revealed a suspect prying open the back door around 2 a.m. and stealing cash.

Investigators determined the burglary matched the pattern of a similar break-in at a restaurant in Stony Point just days later. Working with Stony Point Police and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, detectives identified the suspect as Christopher Pascale of West Nyack.

Pascale was arrested on August 25 and charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny, criminal mischief, possession of burglar’s tools, and criminal possession of stolen property. He is scheduled to appear in Clarkstown Justice Court.
