Man arrested after alleged assault and punching out car window in Cambridge
Cambridge, MD — A late-night physical disturbance in Cambridge ended with one man in custody after police say he assaulted another person and injured himself by smashing his own vehicle’s window.
Just before 10 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the 1300 block of Stone Boundary Avenue for reports of a disturbance. When they arrived, they encountered 43-year-old Antonio Vega of Cambridge with visible cuts and bleeding on his hands and arms.
Vega told officers he had punched his own car window, causing the injuries.
While at the scene, police spoke with another individual who alleged that Vega had physically assaulted them by grabbing them by the neck or throat and throwing them.
Vega was arrested on the spot and later released on a $3,000 bond.
He now faces charges related to the reported assault. Police did not release the specific name of the charge but confirmed it was linked to the physical altercation.
No additional injuries were reported at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
