Car becomes crime scene as man shot in Northeast Baltimore

Baltimore, MD – A man was hospitalized Friday night after being shot in the back while inside a vehicle on Walther Avenue, prompting an ongoing investigation by Northeast District Shooting detectives.

The shooting occurred around 7:10 p.m. in the 6600 block of Walther Avenue. Responding officers located the 43-year-old victim inside a car suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was rushed to a local hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.

Detectives from the Northeast District responded to the scene and took over the investigation. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and police have not released any suspect information or potential motive.
