Around 11:53 p.m. on August 30, officers from the Sixth District Crime Suppression Team were patrolling in the 3800 block of Minnesota Avenue NE when they noticed items belonging to a store scattered outside its entrance.

Surveillance footage later confirmed that 58-year-old Michael Morgan, who has no fixed address, and 27-year-old Keon Brown of Southeast DC had removed property from the store and carried it to the parking lot. Both were taken into custody at the scene.
