West Orange, NJ – A New Jersey Assembly candidate is facing an unusual campaign twist after his lawn signs rolled in with a glaring typo that could leave voters thinking he’s waging war on weeds rather than crime.
Adam Kraemer, who is running for the State Legislature, shared a photo on Facebook showing a fresh box of signs reading: “Lower Taxes, Limited Gov’t, Lawn & Order for NJ.”

Kraemer explained that the printing mix-up came from his campaign manager, a recent college graduate. Instead of promoting him as a “Law and Order” candidate, the signs mistakenly turned his message into a battle cry for well-kept grass.
The candidate joked online that he now faces a choice: order a new batch of corrected signs or pivot his campaign strategy toward tackling the state’s crabgrass and weed problems.
The incident has quickly attracted attention, with some supporters calling it a memorable accident that might actually help him stand out, while others suggest the error could distract from his platform.
No word yet on whether Kraemer plans to double down on the slogan as a creative opportunity or replace the signs entirely before voters head to the polls.
