Gunshot fired into Glen Burnie home as police launch investigation
GLEN BURNIE, MD – A Glen Burnie homeowner was startled awake early Wednesday morning when a bullet shattered glass and pierced the wall of a residence, prompting a police investigation into the non-contact shooting.
Northern District officers responded around 4:00 a.m. on September 3 to the 900 block of Point Pleasant Road after the homeowner reported hearing the sound of breaking glass. Inside, officers confirmed what appeared to be a bullet hole in the interior wall and later found a projectile lodged inside a kitchen cabinet.
No injuries were reported in the incident. Police canvassed the neighborhood in search of witnesses or surveillance footage that could help identify the source of the gunfire.
