NEW YORK, NY – A quiet holiday evening in Midtown turned into a major crime scene after a woman was raped inside a commercial building near West 36th Street and Broadway on Monday around 6 p.m., and the suspect is still at large.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the man they say is connected to the brutal assault of a 34-year-old woman inside the business, which sits within one of the busiest corridors in Manhattan. The victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital where she remains in stable condition.

The incident unfolded within the Midtown South Precinct, a heavily trafficked area filled with office buildings, retail stores, and tourists. According to officials, the unidentified man entered the commercial property, attacked the woman, and then fled in an unknown direction.
