Freehold 7-Eleven sells $600,000 winning scratch-off ticket
TRENTON, NJ – A Monmouth County lottery player is holding a $600,000 prize after winning the first top jackpot in the $30 Crossword Xtreme game, the New Jersey Lottery announced.
The lucky ticket was purchased on August 25 at 7-Eleven #11019, located at 50 Schank Road in Freehold. The Crossword Xtreme game offers three top prizes of $600,000, making this the very first to be claimed. Two remain unclaimed across the state.
This Monmouth County win came during a week of significant payouts across New Jersey. Just days later, a Bergen County player struck $1 million on the $1,000,000 Ultimate Spectacular game, while Warren and Passaic counties also produced $250,000 winners on separate scratch-offs.
The Crossword Xtreme game continues to be one of the Lottery’s premium offerings, with additional large prizes still in circulation beyond the two remaining $600,000 jackpots.
The New Jersey Lottery has contributed nearly $33.7 billion to the state since 1970, funding services and programs including the public employee pension system under a long-term funding agreement signed in 2017.
