Chesapeake man hospitalized after shooting on Stafford Drive

Chesapeake, VA – A man is in serious condition after being shot Wednesday evening and found wounded inside a vehicle on Western Branch Boulevard, police said.

Officers responded around 6 p.m. on Sept. 3 to the 3100 block of Western Branch Boulevard, where they discovered an adult male suffering from a single gunshot wound. Investigators later determined the shooting occurred nearby in the 4300 block of Stafford Drive.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

Police said no suspect description is currently available.
