Frankford shooting leaves two injured after car ambushed by gunfire

Frankford, Del. – A late-night drive turned violent early Thursday when gunfire erupted in Frankford, leaving a man and woman injured after their vehicle was sprayed with bullets.

Troopers were called to the area of Honolulu Road and Reed Street around 2:41 a.m., where they found a 27-year-old Frankford man and a 38-year-old Selbyville woman suffering from injuries. Investigators said the pair had been driving when unknown suspects unleashed a volley of shots at their car.

The woman was hit by flying glass, while the man sustained both debris wounds and a gunshot injury to his hand. Both were rushed to a nearby hospital, and their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

Delaware State Police said the investigation remains ongoing, with Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit handling the case. Detectives are urging anyone with information to contact Detective K.
