Bronx, NY – A 36-year-old man was shot in the chest during a broad-daylight confrontation outside a Bronx building earlier this month, police said.
The violence erupted around 2:57 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, in front of 1348 Webster Avenue. According to investigators, a woman approached an unidentified man and handed him a bag. Moments later, the victim exited the building and became embroiled in a verbal dispute with the man.
During the argument, the man pulled a firearm from the bag and opened fire, striking the victim once in the chest.
EMS rushed the wounded man to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was reported in stable condition.
Both suspects fled the scene on foot and remain at large. Police described the gunman as a man with a dark complexion, last seen in a black sweater and black sweatpants. The woman was described as having a medium complexion and was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, black pants, and pink shoes.
