Off-duty NYPD cop busted for DWI in Queens

Queens, NY – An off-duty police officer was arrested early Saturday after he was allegedly caught driving drunk in Queens, officials said.

Brian Huang, 32, an NYPD officer, was taken into custody around 5:10 a.m. in the confines of the 105th Precinct. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while ability impaired by alcohol.

The department has not released further details about the arrest, including where Huang was stopped or whether anyone was injured.

Huang’s arrest will be reviewed by the NYPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau as part of standard procedure when an officer is charged with a crime.
