21-Year-Old Man Woken Up By Getting Shot in Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH- The Columbus Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place in the 7300 block of Sawmill Road on Thursday afternoon.

Officers were dispatched to the area on reports of a shooting. Upon arrival. officers found the victim, suffering an apparent gunshot wound to the right shoulder.

“The victim explained that he was sleeping behind a building when he was awakened after being shot,” according to police. “He indicated he doesn’t have any suspect information at this time”.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition. He was later upgraded to stable condition.
