38-year-old man fatally stabbed in North Philadelphia; suspect in custody

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — A 38-year-old man was fatally stabbed Wednesday evening in North Philadelphia, and police have taken a female suspect into custody, authorities said.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. near the 2600 block of Germantown Avenue. Police say the victim, a Black male, was stabbed once in the neck.

Emergency responders from Medic 36 pronounced the man dead at 8:22 p.m. The scene is being held for further investigation, and the weapon used in the attack has been recovered.

The identity of the victim has not been released, and no further details about the suspect or the circumstances leading up to the stabbing have been provided.
