$50,000 Lottery Ticket Sold in Frederick County

Lottery scratch off tickets for sale

Frederick, MD – A Frederick County man has won a $50,000 top prize from the Maryland Lottery’s “Cash to Go” scratch-off ticket. The player purchased the winning ticket at Giant Eagle, located at 1275 West Patrick Street in Frederick.

The Frederick resident chose to buy the $5 scratch-off because it caught his eye at the vending machine. After purchasing the ticket, he scratched it off in the store and discovered a piggybank symbol indicating the significant $50,000 prize.

After confirming the win with a scan, the winner shared the news with his mother. He plans to use the prize money to enhance his savings and possibly buy a house. He is self-employed and spends free time indulging in sports activities.

Giant Eagle will receive a $500 bonus for selling the top-prize winning scratch-off. The “Cash to Go” game, introduced in November, now has four of its seven $50,000 prizes remaining, along with smaller prizes ranging from $5 to $5,000.
