$50,000 winning scratch-off ticket purchased at Fallston Royal Farms

KINGSVILLE, MD — A Baltimore County woman has claimed a $50,000 top prize on the $5 MONOPOLY X20 scratch-off game, marking the fourth top-tier win for the popular Maryland Lottery ticket.

The Kingsville resident purchased the winning ticket at the Royal Farms store located at 1915 Belair Road in Fallston. She took her usual batch of scratch-offs home, where she and her husband scratched them in their garage.

Unlike her usual routine of scanning barcodes to check for wins, the woman decided to scratch the ticket manually this time. “I didn’t cheat this time and did it the long way,” she told Lottery officials while claiming her prize in Baltimore.

She revealed that she noticed matching numbers almost immediately and saw multiple $5,000 prize amounts, eventually totaling $50,000. After confirming the win with her husband, she locked the ticket in a safe until she was ready to claim it on May 28.

The winner, a state employee, said she has no immediate plans for the prize and intends to deposit the money in the bank.

The Royal Farms store will receive a $500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
