$770K winning Cash 5 ticket sold at Giant Eagle in Allegheny County
Shaler Township, PA — A Pennsylvania Lottery player is holding a ticket worth $770,000 after matching all five numbers in Sunday night’s Cash 5 with Quick Cash drawing, making it one of the largest recent wins in Allegheny County.
The jackpot-winning ticket was sold at the Giant Eagle located at 1671 Butler Plank Road in Shaler Township. The ticket matched all five numbers drawn — 11, 20, 31, 36, and 38 — securing the full jackpot amount, minus applicable taxes. For selling the winning ticket, the retailer will receive a $5,000 bonus.
As per lottery policy, the winner’s identity will not be released until the ticket is claimed and validated. Cash 5 prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing date. The Pennsylvania Lottery encourages all players to double-check their tickets and claim lower-tier prizes at participating retailers.
In total, more than 12,900 other Cash 5 with Quick Cash tickets also won prizes in the December 21 drawing.
The Lottery is also reminding the public, especially during the holiday season, that lottery tickets should not be gifted to minors. Support and resources for problem gambling are available through 1-800-GAMBLER or pacouncil.com.
