Argument on 144th Street Ends in Gunfire

NEW YORK, NY — The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an assault that took place within the 40th Precinct.

According to police reports, on Monday, at approximately 6:20 p.m., a 35-year-old man was in front of a Brooklyn home when he became involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified male. The situation escalated when the suspect displayed a firearm and fired multiple rounds at the victim.

The suspect fled westbound on East 144th Street. The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was listed in stable condition.

The NYPD has released media showing the suspect and urges anyone with information to contact the authorities.
