NYC Police Seek Suspect in Jerome Avenue Shooting Incident

NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department is searching for a man involved in a shooting that occurred on Monday, August 26, 2024, at approximately 10:22 a.m. near West 184th Street and Jerome Avenue in the Bronx. According to police reports, an unidentified male discharged a firearm multiple times before fleeing the scene in a vehicle, heading southbound on Jerome Avenue. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium build and dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, red sweatpants, and white sneakers.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to contact the NYPD. The investigation is ongoing as police work to apprehend the individual responsible and ensure public safety in the area.
