New York Power Authority to host free holiday event at Blenheim-Gilboa Visitors Center

NORTH BLENHEIM, N.Y. — The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will hold its annual “Holly Jolly Celebration” on Saturday, Dec. 14, offering a festive, family-friendly experience at the Blenheim-Gilboa Visitors Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The free event will include a variety of holiday-themed activities, such as writing letters to Santa and arts and crafts projects. Visitors can take photos with Santa next door at the Historic Lansing Manor, and children will receive cookies and a complimentary ornament as part of the festivities.

Guests can also enjoy horse and wagon rides on the grounds of the Blenheim-Gilboa complex and view decorated holiday trees sponsored by local clubs and non-profit organizations.

The Blenheim-Gilboa Visitors Center, located in a restored 19th-century dairy barn, features interactive exhibits on electricity and the operation of the Blenheim-Gilboa Pumped Storage Power Project. The center is part of the Lansing Manor complex, which offers free admission year-round.

The center is situated on Route 30, 17 miles south of Middleburgh and five miles north of Grand Gorge. For additional information about the event or a full calendar of activities, visitors can call 1-800-724-0309 or visit NYPA’s website at www.nypa.gov.
