Ohio deputy shot and killed responding to domestic disturbance in Morrow County

MORROW COUNTY, Ohio — Deputy Daniel Sherrer, a four-year veteran of the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, was shot and killed Monday night while responding to a domestic disturbance call, authorities confirmed.

Sherrer, 31, was dispatched to a residence for a report of a domestic incident. During the response, the deputy was shot. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died a short time later from his injuries.
