BALTIMORE, Md. — A single-vehicle crash in Baltimore’s Northwest District left one person dead and another seriously injured late Friday night, according to police.
Officers responded to the 4300 block of Liberty Heights Avenue around 9:30 p.m. and found a vehicle that had struck multiple parked cars and overturned. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 40-year-old male passenger was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. His current status has not been released.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle lost control prior to hitting several parked vehicles and flipping. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Detectives from the Baltimore Police Department’s Accident Investigation Unit have taken over the case. Authorities are seeking additional information from the public.
