BALTIMORE, Md. — A gym teacher at Northwest Academy has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of second-degree assault following allegations of inappropriate contact with students, according to Baltimore County Police.

Jordan Adams, 28, was taken into custody Tuesday by detectives from the department’s Crimes Against Children Unit. Officials said Adams is accused of inappropriately touching several students during his time at the school.

Police confirmed that Adams is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center. The investigation remains active, and no additional details about the number of victims or the nature of the alleged contact have been released.

Authorities are urging any parents or guardians with concerns to come forward. “Detectives are asking parents and family members of students to contact the Department at 410-887-7720, if they have additional information regarding Adams or believe their child may also be a victim,” the department said in a statement.

Investigation expands beyond initial reports

Adams’ employment status with Northwest Academy has not been publicly disclosed. The school has not released a statement as of Wednesday.

Baltimore County Police said more charges could be filed depending on the results of ongoing interviews and information received from the community.

The case is being handled by the Crimes Against Children Unit, which specializes in investigations involving minors and school-related incidents.

Detectives continue to gather evidence and conduct interviews as they work to determine the full scope of the alleged misconduct.
