by Local News Report

WATERBURY, CT — A Wolcott woman is celebrating a major lottery win after claiming a $100,000 prize in the Connecticut Lottery’s Cash5 game.

Lottery officials said the winner, identified as Janet S., purchased her ticket for the July 24 drawing at Dada Liquors, located in Waterbury. Her ticket matched all five numbers drawn, securing the game’s top prize.

Cash5 is one of the Connecticut Lottery’s most popular draw games, offering a jackpot of $100,000 for players who match all five winning numbers. Drawings are held nightly, and players can win additional prizes for matching fewer numbers.

Dada Liquors, the retailer that sold the winning ticket, will also receive a bonus from the Connecticut Lottery.

Janet S. has yet to share how she plans to use her winnings, but lottery officials encourage all winners to sign their tickets immediately and consult with financial experts to make the most of their prize.
