Two $17K Take 5 winning tickets sold in Brooklyn and Buffalo

NEW YORK, NY – Two lucky lottery players in different parts of the state each claimed a top prize of $17,380.50 in the August 15 Take 5 Evening drawing, the New York Lottery announced.

One of the winning tickets was sold at 293 Broadway Deli, located at 293 Broadway in Brooklyn. The other was purchased at J & M Convenient Food Shop at 2365 William Street in Buffalo.

The Take 5 drawing is held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., with numbers selected from a pool of one through 39. Winners who match all five numbers split the top prize.

Players have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim their winnings at any authorized New York Lottery claim center.

The New York Lottery contributed $3.6 billion to public schools in the state during the 2024–2025 fiscal year, making it North America’s most profitable lottery.
