Man shot near Wilkens intersection as detectives search for suspect
TOWSON, MD – A man was wounded in a shooting Friday afternoon near the intersection of Wesley Avenue and Shipley Avenue in the Wilkens Precinct area, prompting an ongoing investigation by Baltimore County detectives.
Police say the gunfire broke out around 4:40 p.m. on October 17. When officers arrived at the scene, they found evidence of a shooting but no victim present. Investigators later determined that an adult male with a gunshot wound had arrived at a local hospital seeking treatment.
His injuries were described as not life-threatening.
The Baltimore County Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit has taken over the case and is working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No suspects have been identified, and authorities have not disclosed a possible motive.
