Wall Township traffic stop uncovers imitation firearm and drug stash leading to two arrests
WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ – A routine motor vehicle stop on State Highway 35 turned into a major bust when two women were arrested on multiple drug and weapons charges, including possession of an imitation firearm and intent to distribute prescription drugs.
On Thursday, October 23, Patrolman Kyle Pelech pulled over a vehicle and discovered that its occupants—Marissa Devivo, 32, of Brick, and Lindsay Roddy, 40, of Neptune—were carrying a combination of illegal substances and weapons.
According to police, the women were found in possession of oxycodone, psilocybin (commonly known as “magic mushrooms”), and prescription legend drugs. They were also charged with the distribution of those prescription medications. In addition, officers recovered an imitation firearm and an unlawfully possessed weapon.
Further investigation revealed that Roddy had multiple outstanding warrants, including a traffic warrant out of Wall and a wanted person warrant issued by Monmouth County. She was additionally charged under statutes prohibiting certain individuals from possessing weapons.
Both Devivo and Roddy were processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
In a separate incident, Patrolman Kevin Donegan arrested Junior Felix, 43, of Linden, at the Bergen County Jail on an outstanding Wall Township warrant related to credit card theft. Felix was also taken to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
