Robbery suspect in ski mask flees on bicycle after broad daylight heist in NW DC
WASHINGTON, DC – A masked suspect riding a black bicycle is being sought following a daytime robbery Saturday afternoon near the intersection of 6th Street and Butternut Street NW.
At approximately 1:35 p.m., Metropolitan Police Department units from the Fourth District responded to the area after receiving reports of a robbery in progress. Witnesses described the suspect as a Black male with a dark complexion, wearing a black ski mask and riding a black bicycle.
It is not yet known what was taken or whether any weapons were used. No injuries have been reported, and police have not indicated whether the suspect was seen fleeing in a particular direction.
The case remains under investigation as officers continue canvassing the area and reviewing surveillance footage.
