Players react to Ubisoft's latest release in the Far Cry franchise, Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6 is the long-awaited next chapter in UbiSoft’s popular open-world franchise. In this latest episode, players play as Dani Rojas, a local Yaran, as you fight alongside a modern-day guerrilla revolution to liberate Yara as they embark on three new twisted adventures in the season pass as you play from the perspectives of Vaas, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed.

As Dani Rojas (playable as a female or male character), you will help stoke the fires of revolution through guerrilla warfare across the island of Yara, from verdant jungles to the urban streets of the capital city, Esperanza. You’ll use a powerful array of weapons and vehicles, and build a network of allies to fight alongside you, including Fangs for Hire like Chorizo, the dangerously distracting wiener dog. As President Castillo prepares his son Diego, played by Anthony Gonzalez (“Coco”), to succeed him, you will do all you can to ensure his plans don’t come to fruition.

Here’s what customers of Amazon have said about Far Cry 6 which has received positive, but mixed reviews:

I’ve been playing Far Cry 6 on the Xbox One for several days now, ever since the day it came out. The disk works perfectly with zero glitches, unusual for a huge game. Far Cry 6 looks like it will have a lot of playability since you have lots of stuff to do and lots of ways to do it.

I can’t complain about the game mechanics. Everything seems to have been thought through well. As is usual with the Far Cry series, you start with a small map and gradually expand your activities to bigger maps. And as you would expect from a Far Cry game, there are lots of quirky characters and you spend time capturing bases, crafting, and defeating evil characters.

I like this game, but the story and missions are not as fun as some of the other Far Cry games that I have played. If you are a Far Cry fan it is worth playing though.

I read some articles about the game and some mentioned that they had problems with the amigos following them. I haven’t encounters any issues with that. It was no different than the NCPs that you could enlist in Far Cry 5. Sometimes they lagged behind. But once you were at your destination completing a mission they were there.

I’ve also seen the review that mentions the bug with the sound disappearing. That happened to me as well, and it definitely needs a patch to get fixed. What worked for me in the meanwhile was to do a full shut down (not a restart) of my Xbox. When I went back to the game after that process the sound worked again.

Not all reviews were positive.

If you are expecting this to be like Far Cry 5 then you will be highly disappointed. This game is all around terrible. Bad ai, non realistic gun mechanics, boring story line, boring characters. Do not waste your money.
