Shoplifter Assaulted Dollar General Employee in Glen Burnie During Vehicle Getaway

GLEN BURNIE, MD – On July 12, 2022, at approximately 6:15 p.m. officers responded for a report of a theft and assault at the Dollar General at 7943 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie. The victim was attempting to stop a shoplifter who had just left the store.

The victim attempted to take photos of the suspect and their vehicle when the suspect put the vehicle in drive and intentionally struck the victim in their attempt to escape. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Northern District Detectives have identified the suspect responsible and are currently seeking charges.
