BUFFALO, NY – A Buffalo man who stabbed a female inside his home in June of 2020 was found guilty by a jury during a criminal case on one count of murder and other misdemeanor charges.

According to police, on June 19, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the defendant was involved in an altercation with a female victim inside of his home on the 300 block of Doat Street in the City of Buffalo.

“After the incident with the first victim, the defendant intentionally stabbed the victim’s friend, another female, outside of the residence. The second victim, 28-year-old Allison Turner, died from her injuries at ECMC,” police said in a report.

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced that a jury has found 28-year-old Talyn D. Williams of Buffalo guilty of one count of Murder in the Second Degree (Class “A-I” felony) and two counts of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree (Class “A” misdemeanors). Williams was convicted of all counts in the indictment against him. Jurors rendered their decision this morning after approximately 3 1/2 hours of deliberation following a four-day trial.

“The defendant was initially charged with murder and arraigned in Buffalo City Court on June 20, 2020. At the arraignment, Buffalo City Court Judge Andrew C. LoTempio issued a no-contact order of protection on behalf of the first victim. The defendant knowingly violated the order of protection twice by placing phone calls to the victim while incarcerated at the Erie County Holding Center,” District Attorney’s office said in a statement.

Williams faces a maximum of 27 years to life in prison when he is sentenced before Erie County Court Judge Shelia A. DiTullio on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. He continues to remain held without bail.
