Allentown, PA- Police responded to a call at the Americus Hotel in downtown Allentown on Monday after a report of a stabbing.

Police arrested Samuel Santiago-Delgado, 41, for a robbery at knifepoint that happened at around 10:36 pm.

Police said Delgado entered the Americus Hotel and brandished a knife and robbed the business. He also robbed a patron inside the hotel lobby.

“After the robbery, he fled on foot and was chased by an Allentown Police Department Detective,” the department said. “Delgado landed in a creek below the Linden Street Bridge where he was quickly apprehended by responding officers.”
