NEW YORK, NY – A New York City subway conductor was punched in the face through the open Subway window by an unknown male subject earlier this month. According to police, an MTA worker was assaulted by an unidentified black male who approached the subway conductor’s chain window and assaulted him after he opened it.
The incident happened on September 20th at around 7:30 p.m. inside the East 149th Street and Grand Concourse subway station in the Bronx
The conductor was reportedly taken to the hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Last month, officials lobbied to Institute a 3-year mandatory ban on individuals who used violence against MTA workers.
The suspect in this incident fled the scene, but police are now asking for the Public’s assistance to help identify the suspect.
