New York City – In a bizarre assault in the East Village, a 57-year-old man was stabbed in the buttocks by an unknown individual on Tuesday.

The incident happened at around 11:00 am in front of 85 Avenue A.

According to the police, an unidentified male approached a 57-year-old male victim and stabbed him in the buttocks with an unknown object. The perpetrator then fled on foot, heading southbound on Avenue A.

The victim was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue and is in stable condition.

The police describe the suspect as a male with a medium complexion, between the ages of 40 and 50, approximately 5’9″, and with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a blue hat, a blue hooded sweatshirt, tan pants, and white sneakers.
