NYPD releases photo of suspect wanted in deadly Brooklyn shooting

NEW YORK, NY – Detectives investigating a March murder case have released a photo of the suspect wanted for an execution-style murder in East New York.

Now, the New York City Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying an individual connected to an assault that occurred within the confines of the 75th Precinct.

The incident took place on Monday, March 6 at around 9:25 PM near the intersection of Cleveland Street and Linden Boulevard.

According to the police, a 32-year-old victim was sitting in his vehicle when an unknown individual approached and engaged in a verbal altercation with him.

As the victim began to drive away, the suspect brandished a firearm and fired a single shot through the front window of the vehicle, striking the victim in the head. The assailant fled the scene, heading southbound on Cleveland Street. The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he received medical treatment for a gunshot wound.

The individual being sought is described as a male, last seen wearing dark-colored clothing. The NYPD urges anyone with information related to this incident to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
