Toms River, NJ – The Township Council of Toms River has recently passed an ordinance to amend and supplement Section 477-79, Schedule XXI (speed limits) of Chapter 477 (vehicles and traffic) of the township code. The ordinance aims to enhance road safety by reducing speed limits on the following roads:
- Cardinal Drive: The speed limit will be lowered from 35 mph to 25 mph for the entire length of the road.
- South Shore Drive: The speed limit will be lowered from 35 mph to 25 mph for the entire length of the road.
- Colonial Drive: The speed limit will be lowered from 30 mph to 25 mph for the entire length of the road.
- Continental Drive: The speed limit will be lowered from 30 mph to 25 mph for the entire length of the road.
- Schencks Mill Line Road: The speed limit will be lowered from 45 mph to 25 mph, specifically from Hooper Avenue to the northerly terminus.
