CAMBRIDGE, MD – On Monday, August 28, at approximately 12:03 am, Cambridge Police Department officers responded to a Motor Vehicle Collision on the 300 block of Old Squaw Ct. A vehicle had crashed into an electric transformer box.
The vehicle belonged to Erick Martinez Tovar, 35, of Cambridge, MD. Tovar was located at an address on Ruddy Duck Ct and showed signs of impairment.
He was arrested after refusing to complete any Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
Tovar faces multiple charges, including Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol and Reckless Driving. He was transported to the Cambridge Police Department for further processing, where he also refused a breath test.
The investigation is ongoing, and Tovar has been issued multiple traffic citations. He was subsequently released pending further proceedings.
