HARTFORD, CT – A 15-year-old boy, identified as Jordan Luna of Hartford, was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting on Monday.
The incident took place in the area of 18 Nelton Way just before 1:30 p.m., as confirmed by Hartford police.
The following day, police clarified that Luna was the intended target, contrary to their initial belief.
The vehicle involved in the shooting was later found ablaze in Vernon. Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department commented on the increasing acts of violence in the area.
The incident marked the 32nd homicide in Hartford for this year, a slight increase compared to the same period last year.
