Oxon Hill Man Arrested for Stealing Mail, Second Suspect At Large

BETHESDA, MD – Following multiple tips to the Crime Solvers call center, 19-year-old Dawud Aubry Drayton from Oxon Hill has been arrested and charged in connection with a mail theft that occurred on August 19.

Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District officers initially responded to a theft report on the 5400 block of Westbard Ave.

Investigations led to the discovery that Drayton, along with another suspect, entered a secured building after tailgating a resident. Inside, they stole multiple packages belonging to the residents.

Drayton was identified as one of the suspects through various tips and was subsequently arrested on December 8. He faces charges of burglary and theft and was released on bond.
