Newark Police Investigating After Tires Slashed on New Prospect

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is seeking public assistance in identifying suspects involved in a criminal mischief incident.

On December 10, the tires of a parked vehicle were slashed in the 800 block of Mt. Prospect Avenue. The incident, occurring around 2 a.m., was discovered by the vehicle owner at 11 a.m. The suspects were seen exiting a dark grey Honda Civic.

Director Fragé encourages anyone with information to contact the Police Division’s Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Tips provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers may lead to a reward and are kept confidential.
