WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ – A carjacking incident occurred on State Highway 195 at State Highway 34 on Sunday, at 12:34 am.
The Wall Township Police Department responded promptly to the scene. The victim, left uninjured on the roadside, reported the vehicle stolen by two acquaintances.
The stolen vehicle was located in Asbury Park by the Asbury Park Police, leading to the arrest of Biagio Toto, 25, of Plainsboro, and Nicholas Grande, 28, of Belle Mead.
Toto faces charges including first-degree carjacking and third-degree theft of a motor vehicle, while Grande is charged with receiving stolen property and other related offenses.
Chief Sean O’Halloran of the Wall Township Police Department emphasizes that the incident was not a random act of violence. The department continues its investigation and reminds the public that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
