Loaded Illegal Handgun Found During Traffic Stop in Odenton

ODENTON, MD – A routine traffic stop on Route 32 near Telegraph Road led to an unexpected discovery and arrest. The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m., when an officer pulled over a silver Toyota for investigation.

Upon further examination, it was found that the driver, identified as 30-year-old Thomas Anthony Ferreira from Laurel, Maryland, was in possession of a loaded 9mm Glock handgun within the vehicle’s passenger compartment. Ferreira was subsequently arrested and charged with the offense.
